Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 May 2026 (rebrand from LoopIt to textbased.video; ASIC business-name registration disclosed; alpha non-certification)

These terms govern your use of the textbased.video Premiere Pro extension, the textbased.video desktop app, and the textbased.video website at textbased.video (together, “textbased.video”). By installing or using any part of textbased.video, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use textbased.video.

1. Alpha status

textbased.video is currently in alpha. This means it is offered free of charge to a self-selecting group of early users, may contain bugs, and may be revoked, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice. You are using textbased.video at your own risk during this phase.

Vendor non-certification during alpha. The textbased.video Premiere extension and the textbased.video desktop app are not currently signed, verified, or certified by Google, Microsoft, or Apple. Specifically:

  • Google's Drive OAuth verification is queued for submission — alpha users see an “unverified app” consent screen on first sign-in.
  • The Windows installer is unsigned — SmartScreen warns “Unknown publisher” on first install (click More infoRun anyway to proceed).
  • The macOS DMG is unsigned and not Apple-notarised — Gatekeeper warns “unidentified developer” (right-click the app → Open to proceed).

Vendor signing, notarisation, and OAuth verification arrive with the paid launch. By installing textbased.video during alpha, you accept that you are clicking through these warnings knowingly. The full alpha-period compliance posture (GDPR lawful basis, CCPA stance, EU representative status, Australian Privacy Act, vendor compliance, and more) is laid out in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.

2. Licence grant

Subject to these terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use textbased.video for the duration shown on your licence record. The licence is tied to the email address it was issued to and to the number of machines permitted by your plan.

You may not:

  • resell, sublicence, rent, or transfer your licence,
  • share your licence key with anyone outside your authorised machine count,
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the licence signing keys or modify the activation logic,
  • use textbased.video in violation of any applicable law or any platform terms (including Adobe's Premiere Pro EULA and Google Drive's terms),
  • use textbased.video to send spam, distribute malware, or upload unlawful content.

3. Your content

textbased.video does not store the video, audio, or transcript content of your projects. That content remains in your own Google Drive, under your control and subject to your agreement with Google. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to handle, share, and edit the content you process through textbased.video.

4. Intellectual property

textbased.video, its source code, branding, and design are owned by the operator of the registered Australian business name text based video. These terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

5. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

textbased.video is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that textbased.video will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the results obtained from its use will be accurate or reliable.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the operator of textbased.video be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of textbased.video. Because textbased.video is currently provided free of charge, the operator's total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid for textbased.video in the twelve months preceding the claim, which is zero during the alpha phase.

8. Termination

Your licence may be revoked at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these terms. You can stop using textbased.video at any time by uninstalling it and deactivating your machine from inside the extension panel. Sections 4, 6, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as textbased.video evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to active licence holders. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of textbased.video after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where textbased.video's operator is established. The specific jurisdiction clause will be finalised at the start of the paid-tier launch; until then, disputes will be resolved in good faith via direct communication at support@textbased.video.

11. Contact

Email support@textbased.video for anything related to these terms.

textbased.video is in private alpha. The Premiere extension and the desktop app are not currently signed, verified, or certified by Google, Microsoft, or Apple — Google's Drive OAuth verification is queued for submission (the alpha cohort sees an “unverified app” consent screen on sign-in), Windows SmartScreen warns “Unknown publisher” on first install, and macOS Gatekeeper warns “unidentified developer”. Vendor certifications and signed installers arrive with the paid launch. See Privacy and Terms for the full picture.
